IV. Eligibility Requirements
1. Master Championship: Master Events are restricted to rowers who must be aged 27-65.
2. Youth U16/U19 Championship: All rowers entering youth group events must comply with the correct crew age category as follows
U16 Group: Aged 10-16 (1 January 2008 – 31 December 2014).
U19 Group: Aged 16-19 (1 January 2005 – 31 December 2007).
3. University Championship: A rower must be a student at the represented university and provide a student ID or Enrolment Verification at registration.
4. Mixed Event Group: At least 50% of the rowers must be female.
5. No rower may compete for two different entities at the Regatta. The organising committee will verify the eligibility of registered rowers. Every rower must be able to present a valid identification document, such as ID card, passport, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Resident or Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Resident. If there is a dispute regarding an athlete’s eligibility, their competition qualifications and results will be cancelled after verification.
6. Rower in single-scull events must be proficient in operating a single-scull and provide training proof or video of competition participated in the past for verification.
V. Form of Participation
1. Each rower must enter and compete under the name of a club, school, or organisation.
2. Each rower is allowed to participate in up to a maximum of two events and cannot compete in multiple clubs. Each team may enter up to 2 substitutes per category.
3. Participating entities shall be responsible for health, fitness and safety of their rowers in the Regatta. All rowers shall be able to swim independently at least 200 meters. The rowers entering single-scull events must be capable of independent rowing.
4. All participants must sign and return the completed participation declaration form (see attachment) to the organising committee at registration.
VI. Rules
1. The Regatta will follow the latest international rowing racing rules and the regulations of this event.
2. In total of 3 lanes will be available for the 1000m races. Heats and finals will be held if there are more than 3 entries per race; the top 3 from heats will advance to finals. Teams will proceed to the final directly if there are not more than 3 entries. Only 1 lane will be available for the 2600m races. Boats will start their race in sequence every minute based on 1000m race results. The final participation list will be set based on the number of boats registered and the allocation of equipment, with reference to the participant guide.
3. If finals cannot be held due to adverse weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds), final rankings will be determined based on the heat results. The team with the shorter race time will be ranked higher; in the case of a tie, the ranks will be shared.
4. Boats and equipment will be provided by the organising committee (a deposit is required), and the allocation plan will be announced at the pre-competition officials and team leaders meeting. Due to limited provision, teams will be sharing boats during the competition. The allocation of boats will be coordinated by the organising committee, and teams are not allowed to unilaterally change or occupy the boats and equipment. Any violations will result in the disqualification of the offending team.
5. The organising committee encourages teams to bring their own boats. Any teams bringing their own boats must transport theirs to Hengqin Rowing Park by 28 November 2024 to facilitate the organising committee in arranging the boat area and reallocating boats during the competition.

IX. Rankings and Awards
Medals will be awarded to the Champion, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up rowers/ teams in each event; and Certificates for the top 8 rowers in each event.
X. Registration and Check-in
1) Application and Registration
1. Each participating entity must complete the registration form and email to the event operator at 806263716@qq.com by 15 October 2024,
(Email Subject: Registration Form (AISL Harrow Rowing Regatta 2024).
The email should include the team registration form, a scanned copy or photo of the signed participation declaration, and a photo or video of the single scull’s ability.

2. No application fee is required; a deposit of 3,000 RMB/team for boats and oars is required. The deposit will be refunded after the race, provided there’s no damage to the boats and oars.
3. The organising committee will purchase insurance for all rowers, and each team must ensure that accurate personal information is provided.
4. Final confirmation of the racing categories and respective rowers must be made three hours before the pre-race meeting. After the draw is confirmed, participating teams are only allowed to withdraw or change rowers but cannot change categories. Replaced athletes will not be allowed to participate in the competition again.
2) Check-in
1. Please check in by 18:00 on 29 November 2024. Details will be provided in the participant guide.
2. Course trials will be available on 29 November 2024, with each boat allotted 30 minutes. In case of insufficient boats for course trial, please comply with organising committee regarding boat allocation.
XI. Appeals
Any disputes during the event can be submitted by team leaders or coaches. It will be handled by the competition referee team according to the rules and regulations.
XII. Event Safety
Qualified land and water rescue personnel will be assigned by the organising committee to ensure safety during training and races.

3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Chinese and English versions of Rules and Regulations, the Chinese version shall prevail.
